Welcome to the Windsor NY Partners Home Page

Thank You One & All from Windsor Partner’s Inc.

What a glorious day we had for the Corn Festival and Tractor Show. The weather could not have been more perfect. We had more attendees than ever before and by all accounts, people seemed very happy with the event. Most of the vendors did very well and enjoyed being a part of the day.

Bill Kappler entertained with hay ride after hay ride and the crowds loved checking out the tractors and Bill Olin’s old time demonstration. Eileen Ruggieri and the Windsor Historical Society provided local history info. Southern Tier Beekeepers set up an informative display. Naming the newborn calf at Miller’s Farm tent was a big hit as was the Corn Shucking Tournament.

Tim Senese took first place. Fred Akshar and Josh Quinn came in second and third and both gentlemen donated their prize money back to the Corn Festival. Cora won the children’s class for Corn Shucking while Annalena won the Candy Corn Count Contest and took home all the candy corn with her guess of 489 pieces – she was only 5 pieces off!

While I don’t have the names of the winners of the Corn Hole Tournament, they were happy to take home the $100 prize.

Music and food were plentiful and the kettle corn was delicious. We saw many bags of kettle corn and fresh picked corn on the cob leave the park to enjoy at a later time, while literally hundreds of people enjoyed walking around with their roasted corn and other treats.

Windsor Human Development was grateful for the food and monetary donations our wonderful community provided to help them help others. Many youngsters enjoyed the yard games and other activities provided by Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the West Windsor Baptist Church.

As always the dime toss by the Civic Club was a big hit as well.

The creek was too dry to do the duck race so we improvised and threw all of the ducks into a pool and had a by-stander pick the winners.

1st Prize: $100 Al Smith

2nd Prize $75 Dan Price (Donated back to Windsor Partners)

3rd Prize $50 Ashley Gaige

The 50/50 Prize Won by Donna Bates

(Donated back to Windsor Partners)

As I am writing this, I am reflecting on how caring and generous our community truly is and how fortunate we are to have such a wonderful group of friends and neighbors. We did not have enough volunteers and we will need more help if this event is to continue, so let us know if you can help! The volunteers we did have worked tirelessly to bring you the Best Corn Festival We Have Ever Had!

Lastly, but certainly not least, Thank You Sincerely to Our Sponsors:

Mirabito Energy Products, Williams Energy, Bill & Linda Titus from North Windsor Berries, Liz & Don Einstein from Newspaper Publishers LLC (the Windsor Standard), Dan Burdick from Danwood Products, The Mikoda Group and Acclaim Insurance Agency, Inc.

Without their Generous Donations, the Windsor Corn Fest & Tractor Show would not have been possible.

Special thanks to Southern Tier Tuesdays and Upstate Shredding for the $2,000 Award we were able to obtain at the last minute and Everyone who Helped Win the Award with their Dedicated Votes.

Until we meet again…in anticipation of First Knight!

Thank You to Mirbabito Energy Products for Sponsoring the 3rd Annual Corn Fest & Tractor Show
