FIRST KNIGHT IS BACK

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and The Windsor Partners Inc. is hosting its 10th First Knight event. After a two year hiatus the Town and Village of Windsor along with some local churches and businesses will be opening their doors again to allow the community and surrounding areas to enjoy an alcohol-free, family friendly First Knight experience. Join us on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2022 from 7 pm to just after midnight. 

The Lighthouse Community Church will be open serving Chicken and Biscuit dinners at 6:00 pm until the meals run out and would appreciate a good will offering. 

We are going all out to bring you the most exciting First Knight ever with entertainment such as Magician - Jeremy the Illusionist, a Children’s Carnival complete with Chee Chee the Clown and prizes for the kids. Kopernik’s portable planetarium, face painting, glitter tattoos, photo booth, juggling, an indoor snowball fight, balloon sculptures, student art show,  “It’s a Jolly Holiday'' marionette show, George Cummings with an interactive presentation, and a horse and carriage ride for all to enjoy. Warm up at the bonfire and make s’mores to satisfy your sweet tooth. Additionally, we will have music, crafts, Bingo, and Trivia. Most venues will have drinks & snacks - feel free to leave monetary donations for these venues and their generosity. 

The Community House ramps up at 10:00 pm with delicious First Knight cake, two hours of music by Habit Formin’ , Will Stafford juggling fire, and we will finish the evening with the televised ball drop from Times Square New York City, complete with noisemakers and confetti raining down at midnight.
There will be a drawings at the end of the evening for several donated prizes and one lucky attendee will win a 65” television.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help with crafts, serve cake, drinks, and run the Trivia contest. Please donate a couple hours of your time not only to enjoy the event, but to get out in the community and make a difference.
